In the Landfill Gas (LFG) production process, the landfill gas is formed as a result of fermentation of organic materials in anaerobic environment, in which different microorganisms play a role. This landfill gas obtained in solid waste storage facilities is collected by gas collection pipes, vacuumed, and burned for energy generation. As in many other countries,Turkey has various solid waste storage facilities where valuable LFG is produced.
